Thank you for the interest you have displayed in Lighting by Designs. Below you will find a brief overview of who we are, what we do, and how we do it. Lighting by Designs is a custom lighting manufacturer. We specialize in decorative custom lighting fixtures and designs. We work on either large scale specification items and smaller custom lighting jobs as well. Sizes and quantities are no problem for us. We work with stained glass, acrylic, wood and ALL metals ( brass, copper, aluminum, stainless etc...) in any finish specified. We, at Lighting by Designs, as a custom lighting manufacturer, do all our own cutting, bending, welding, metal spinning and finishing ( either painted OR powder coated ). Our shop can handle metal spinning up to 64 inches in diameter. Lighting by Designs is very excited to now be offering to our clients FULL SERVICE laser cutting at very affordable prices. We can laser cut most metals up to one inch thick including stainless steel. We work right from your rendering which we then scan into the laser systems computer, which digitizes the image. We can now scale the image to any size needed for an EXACT replica of your drawing. We then implement this into your custom lighting fixture design or accessory design. Photographs of several laser cut items are included in the links to the left. We also manufacture own own lampshades in any size and in many wonderful materials from linens to numerous colors of faux leather. Lighting by Designs offers samples of our fabrics, acrylics, paint and powder coating, and stained glass at no charge and are available upon request. Our family started this business in 1936 as a manufacturer of decorative custom lighting fixtures, mostly with stained glass. Today, we are still a custom lighting manufacturer but we are much more varied and diversified in the products we offer both in architectural custom lighting fixtures and accessories. As you can see by reading the above, we at Lighting by Designs ARE a hands-on company. We control every facet from custom lighting design to implementation.
